They&#8217;re bombing\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">What?! &#8211; I opened my eyes with difficulty.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">About 5-6 o&#8217;clock in the morning, I don&#8217;t remember exactly now. I only remember the feeling that hung in the air of the room. Feeling of anxiety.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul class=\"listtype-bullet listindent1 list-bullet1\">\n<li><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">I just read on Facebook: friends write that russians are bombing Ukraine, &#8211; my wife said with alarm. &#8211; Oh&#8230; do you hear?.. again? What&#8217;s this?..<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">I remember perfectly, for the rest of my life, what I heard right after that and then saw.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">Thunder could be heard&#8230; explosions. Distant explosions, distant rumbles. They were so nasty, unpleasant for the ear that they penetrated right through, they were etched into the memory.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/X-m3wXN5.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">TV tower was visible in the window of our flat in Kyiv<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h1>\n<h1 data-usually-unique-id=\"540355557090968662286460\"><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\"><i>&#8220;He caught us up finally, a bloody psychopath?!<\/i><\/span><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">&#8221;\u00a0<br \/><\/span><\/h1>\n<h2 data-usually-unique-id=\"065889144677207672028792\"><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">&#8211; ran through my mind at that moment.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h1 data-usually-unique-id=\"540355557090968662286460\"><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<\/h1>\n<div>\n<div><span class=\" author-d-iz88z86z86za0dz67zz78zz78zz74zz68zjz80zz71z9iz90z9z84z5u1z70z7z83zurz67zz85zeez87zz89zz69z1nh2nueqped94z65z\">My wife and I ran to the window. It was foggy. Low cloud cover. February dampness. Mist. I looked into the distance. There. Somewhere out there. Far away. On the horizon. Scarlet flashes flashed. There were clearly explosions over the horizon. It was not visible because of the low gray clouds that hid the sky from the people of Kiev. I didn&#8217;t see him. I just seemed to be cut through by his sharp fighter drilling of the air, which cannot be confused with the calm peaceful sound of a civilian aircraft.
